God is Jehovah Jireh

This name means “the God who provides. Abraham met God as Jehovah Jireh when he offered Isaac as a sacrifice of obedience. God provided a ram in the thicket to take Isaac’s place. God provided His Son, Jesus Christ, to take our place on the cross. Jehovah-Jireh is the God who provided the ultimate blood sacrifice for our sins. Everything we need comes to us by Jehovah Jireh.  He provides our every need.

Scriptural Context:

Gen 22:13-14 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the position of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah Jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lordit shall be seen.”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Romans 4:24, 25 “but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
