God is Omnipotent

He is all-powerful and all knowing and has ultimate authority over all things and all creatures. His power is absolute.  His power is fixed, exclusive, and unconditional.  Uniquely, He is all powerful and limitless in both, authority and ability.  As we view His works of creation we see them declaring not only His mighty power, but also His infinite wisdom.  In effect, His understanding and knowledge supersedes man’s comprehension.

 Scriptural Context

Genesis 1:3 “And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.”

Psalms 33; 6-9 “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.  He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses.  Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him.  For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.”

Psalms 107:25-29 “For he spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves. They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths; in their peril their courage melted away. They reeled and staggered like drunken men; they were at their wits' end. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.”

Rev. 19: 6 “And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.”
